SALVATION FACTS

(Shared from my facebook timeline)

" Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation." 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 ❤

We are reconciled to God through Christ's work on the Cross, not by our own efforts which fall short of His standard of perfection. (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9) ❤ ❤ ❤

We cannot fully KNOW God unless

we READ about God

in the WORD of God. ❤

Unless we actively read the Bible, we run the very real risk of making God into our own image.

Words for careful reflection....

Why do you think you must DO anything to "earn" heaven? No good deed UNDOES any bad deed. The bad remains regardless of the good we do. The only way to heaven is in ERASING that bad, as if it NEVER happened. You MUST be CLEAN. COMPLETELY. HOW in the world CAN you/me/anyone DO this?

We are REWARDED for the good....but NO reward opens those gates to heaven. That means, the BAD remains.

Think honestly....given these things, HOW do YOU get to HEAVEN?

The answer can be found in Scripture passages such as  Colossians 2:14, Titus 3:5; 1 John 1:7;

1 Peter 1:19; Acts 4:12 and John 14:6, among many other passages. Let's take a look...

"by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the Cross" Colossians 2:14

(Thus, the "bad" or "sin" is no more!)

" He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His Own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit..." Titus 3:5 ,

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from ALL sin." 1 John 1:7

"but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot." 1 Peter 1:19

Jesus' blood washes us clean!

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12

"Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me." John 14:6.

So, how do we get saved? Here's a post from my facebook timeline,

dated 10/27/21 that explains how.

It reads....

So neat...You don't have to have education, huge credentials, fame, beauty, wealth, nor any of the things man places value on to be valued by God. You can hear Him speak to your heart, you can feel His peace, you can experience His presence without even leaving your home, your car, your prayer closet. To think that the GOD OF THE WHOLE UNIVERSE, the actual CREATOR actually CARES about you, He KNOWS you, inside and out, the good and the bad and YET He STILL loves us! (Jeremiah 1:5) He "loved us to death", so to speak, on the Cross (Romans 5:8). This cannot be overly stated...there is much we need to understand in order to appreciate His sacrifice that only He was qualified to make on our behalf, because we COULDN'T save ourselves. Some mistakenly think they can EARN heaven, but we just can’t (Ephesians 2:8-9). God’s standard is perfection (Matt 5:48; 1 Pet 1:15-16) and we fail every time (Romans 3:23). (This is why we NEED Jesus, the Savior. Romans 6:23) It is by God’s GRACE which gives us what we DON’T deserve and His MERCY which refrains from giving us what we DO deserve that we are saved through faith in Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is ESSENTIAL to recognize this fact in order to truly become born again in Christ....in order to approach the very throne of God in true humility, without boast (Proverbs 29:23; James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5). To God alone be the glory for the sacrifice that only He, Who was the only "Man" without sin was qualified to make (Hebrews 4:15). Only He could be God the Father's perfect and unblemished Lamb of God. God shares His glory with NO man

(Isaiah 42:8).

Believe in your heart that Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father (John 14:6); acknowledge your NEED for Him (Acts 4:12); appreciate His sacrifice (John 3:16); receive Him personally as YOUR Savior (John 1:12)...believe that He rose from the dead on the third day, thus proving all He said was true (Matt 12:40). This is all you need to do to be saved (John 3:3). Then, out of your love for Him, FOLLOW Him....seek His help to live obediently (John 14:15), repent of sin, have faith in Him because without it we cannot please Him (Hebrews 11:6), love God....and love others as you love yourself (Matt 22:39). Freely forgive yourself and others as this is what He has done for you when you made Him your Savior (Eph 4:32).

This is what He desires from those who are His followers.

It is a journey worth making. 🙂 ❤
